Congratulations to Prof. D. Papkovsky and Dr. C. Toncelli who recently made a cover picture for the Journal of Materials Chemistry C (materials for optical, magnetic and electronic devices). This has been published in Volume 2, Issue 38, accompanying their paper about "Phosphorescent oxygen sensors produced by spot crazing" . The cover image can be assessed here .

Dr. A. Zhdanov and co-workers have published a research paper entitled "Differential contribution of key metabolic substrates and cellular oxygen in HIF signaling" in Experimental Cell Research journal. The paper addresses effects of glucose and amino acid glutamine in cellular response to hypoxia due to stabilization of hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF). The full text can be found here .
