PhD studentship vacancy in Biophotonics and Biochemistry

We are looking for highly motivated (bio)physicist to join the team as PhD student on the collaborative Project between the Laboratory of Biophysics and Bioanalysis (Prof. Dmitri Papkovsky) and SFI-funded Irish Photonic Integration Centre (IPIC, co-supervisor Prof. Stefan Andersson-Engels). The project aims to develop new type of macro widefield PLIM-FLIM system (based on the existing prototype), optimise the data processing and analysis algorithms and demonstrate it in multi-parametric imaging of oxygenation in cells, tissues and related samples.

Ideal candidate must have a good skills in physics, photo-optical instrumentation engineering, software, microscopy and of course be passionate about the emerging FLIM and PLIM methodologies.
